Shafak was officially established in 10-10-2013 (registration no. 27-016-129). It was founded during the early months of the Syrian Crisis in 2011. At its core, Shafak is a grassroots NGO that was formed by Syrians for Syrians, with the intent of addressing the needs of their life with dignity, equality and humanity with a focus on sustainability and autonomy.
Shafak is an impartial, independent, non-profit NGO that exists for the express purpose of providing humanitarian services to vulnerable people regardless of political or religious affiliations and on the long run to contribute to recover and rebuilding the society on freedom, justice and equality basis.

SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reporting to: Logistic Coordinator
Budget responsibility: not applicable
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have a clear understanding of the procurement policy and assist in advising program and office management on required practices and procedures;
- Ensure procurement ceilings and approval procedures are utilized appropriately;
- Closely work with the procurement team and identify the gaps in procurement system and suggest improvements;
- Deployment timelines and budget requirements for planned or new operations (statements, Responsible for organizing cross-border plan.
- Responsible for providing logistic & legal support for Shafak regarding to cross-border transportation.
- Help design and review of tender documents in both Turkey and Syria.
- Responsible for providing logistic support for Shafak regarding to crossing Shafak staff across border.
- Collect offers from Potential vendors for all operation and program process in Turkey.
- Participate in Shafak procurement & Logistic Plan.
- Liaises with program
- m, project, and department manager regarding to cross-border and facilitate their jobs across border.
- Liaises with project, and Outreach offices manager regarding to cross-border and facilitate their jobs across border.
- Provide regular report about n the status of border crossings.
- Provide regular report to procurement& logistic manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement and logistics operation
- Degree in Business or any other related field desired.
- Turkish language is essential
- English language reading - and writing is essential.
- Experience in the logistics (at least one year)
- High computer skills
- A clear understanding of procurement ethics and donor compliance is essential
