Job Title:                                Case Management Officer

Position Summary:

The Case Management Officer manages and oversees the day to day work of two Case Workers and ensures the quality delivery of case management support to refugees in Mardin Province. The Case Management monitors the support provided which focused on facilitating refugees’ access to governmental services, registration, health, education and social safety net programs (ESSN, CCTE, Care taker’s allowance). The Case Management Officermakes recommendations to the Case Workers and maintains files and records of the actions taken on behalf of clients.

1. Technical advice and guidance:

• Supervises individual case management plans of individual clients under care of the Case Management, and monitors the follow up work by the Case Workers
• Designs, organizes and delivers seminars and workshops on topics related to accessing governmental services and social safety net schemes to beneficiaries, stakeholders, partner organizations.

1. Manage a quality service

• Communicates with service providers to ensure effective and appropriate interventions and follow-up
• Monitors the referrals to partner organizations whenever necessary and receives referrals from partner organisations
• Works closely with the legal and psycho-social teams and with partners to ensure smooth and efficient referral processes across all sections
• Coordinates with Turkish authorities, other NGOs and UN agencies

1. Reporting and recording

• Maintains accurate and confidential client records and keeps track of all necessary figures and data related to Case Management
• Provides regular and accurate reporting on case management activities as required

1. Monitoring

• Ensures qualitative interventions through regular monitoring, review and follow-up
• Manages the service monitoring as requested

1. General

• Respects confidentiality and the rights of the clients

In addition to the above, the Case Management Officer might be asked to carry out other duties requested by the Head of Project, Head of Office in Mardin.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in social work, child care or relevant social services sector
• Experience managing teams
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of humanitarian work preferred
• Proficiency in Turkish (speaking, reading and writing) and strong English abilities are required. Arabic is highly desirable. Speaking proficiency in Kurdish a strong asset.
• Competent working with Microsoft Word and Excel and database programmes essential

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within different cultural environments.
• Honest, hardworking and a self-motivated person able to work in a dynamic environment

• Flexibility to work in fast-paced environment sometimes under extreme pressure
