General Description of the Organization:

Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population.

Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programmes, Food Security, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.

Orange also collaborates with national and international non-governmental organizations, local initiatives responding to the humanitarian Syrian crisis with capacity development programmes, to be better equipped with the skills they need to prepare and respond to affected population’s needs and to ensure that these communities, which we work within, are ready for any future disasters.

Job Purpose:

Orange Organization aims to empower the economic situation of the displacement-affected persons through skills training and linkages to local markets via the provision of (PAS) Productive Assets Support to start their (HBB) Home Based Businesses as well as the coaching during the establishment phase of these small projects. Through business development centre Sanliurfa, Orange provides several short-term business skills training opportunities as well as coaching services. Targeted beneficiaries will have the opportunity to develop their business plans and enrolled within a business competition which will be led by a jury of experts. Winning business plans will be supported by PAS and they will be followed by dedicated coaches.

The Admin Assistant will be line managed by the project officer and will be responsible for the Administrative tasks including facilitation and coordination with Logistics and finance departments of the centre in the targeted location within the Orange’s program framework in line with Orange’s standards.

Duties, objectives and competencies:

§ Contribute to the training planning through setting up a schedule for use of training venues on a bi-weekly basis and share planning with training officers and trainers

§ Facilitate the organisation of other events related to the project

§ Provide logistics support and closely coordinate with the logistics department to address logistics needs

§ Raise any issues and challenges about the running of the centres with the supervisor in a timely manner;

§ Lead procurement of training materials and distribute at training sessions;

§ Suggest and discuss new approaches related to skills training and entrepreneurship based on the evolving beneficiaries needs.

§ Work closely with the monitoring team on the timely monitoring and evaluation of all components – information, beneficiary selection, beneficiary feedback about activities, etc;

§ Covering all HR and finance-related tasks concerning the business development centre.

§ Supervising and planning the work of cleaners and drivers in accordance with the centre planned activities.

Requirements:

§ Business Administration, Finance, Economy, or relevant field of study;

§ Experience working in centre/event management;

§ Very good communication skills;

§ Very good computer skills including MS office;

§ Good English language skills (spoken, written and reading);

§ Turkish is a strong asset;

§ Able to work under pressure;

§ Understand the humanitarian/civil society issues in Turkey and the region;

§ Turkish Nationality is required;
