Area Security Assistant is responsible for assisting Area Security Manager to with day to day security tasks and ensuring the safe operation for teams in the base.

Job Description:

• Support Country Security Manager in the day to day security tasks
• Ensure reliable communication is ongoing between coordination at Antakya and the Security/PR field teams in Northwestern Syria.
• Work closely with PR and security teams in Northwestern Syria, including Idlib and Northern Aleppo.
• Produce Weekly Security Report for Northwestern Syria.
• Work closely with HR and Logistics teams in Antakya to ensure following up of the recruitment and procurement, launched by security department of Northwestern Syria
• Provide safety and security inductions for new staff
• Conduct regular security checks for ACTED premises in Turkey and ensure that safety equipment is up to date.
• Support in Security Incident Reports (SIRs) follow up.
• Support in monthly updating of relevant trackers of security department
• Supervise Receptionist and Guard at Antakya office.
• Follow up with staff movements in Turkey.
• Other tasks as requested by the line manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A university degree
• Native Arabic speaker
• Previous work experience with NGOs, preferably in safety and security.
• Good command of English language, both spoken and written
• Advanced reporting, communication, and analytical skills
• Highly familiar with the context in Turkey and Northwestern Syria
• Highly familiar with MS office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
