Business Support Officer Duties and Responsibilities

• Implementation and follow up of livelihood activities; profiling, assessment, counseling and referrals to jobs and/or trainings
• Identify and register beneficiaries in livelihood activities
• Participate in technical trainings on profiling/assessment and apply required profiling/assessment tools as instructed to guarantee standardized and high-quality implementation of project activities.
• Support development of outreach methodology and planning to reach out to livelihood project target groups and expand accessibility to the project activities.
• Support mapping of activities and training opportunities of NGOs and relevant institutions/organizations in the livelihoods sector for referrals to trainings, job placements and counselling.
• Profile livelihoods beneficiaries and assess their needs required to participate in labor market economy through proper use of profiling/assessment tools.
• Draft individualized business plan for project beneficiaries undergoing profiling/assessment exercise
• Carry out internal/external referrals or counselling service for livelihood project beneficiaries in line with their individualized business plans.
• Regularly follow-up with project beneficiaries to support job retention or/and ensure they do benefit from the referred training opportunities
• Regular and timely entry of data of livelihoods beneficiaries,
• Draft regular, timely and detailed field reports describing project progress and challenges and trends/opportunities concerning labor market in the project location.
• To perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by supervisors in line with RET's strategic priorities and business needs, even if not specified in the job description.

Profile & Skills

• At least Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited academic institution
• Prior experience in livelihood projects and/or Refugee Response in Turkey
• Good knowledge of written and spoken Turkish is a must; Arabic proficiency is preferred
• Sound understanding of the local context and refugee issues in Turkey
• Analytical, practical and solution-oriented,
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility
• Ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure
