About SENED

Sened is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with No. 27-15-175; It arose in response to the suffering of Syrian refugees in Turkey & internally displaced persons in Syria as a result of the war waged by the Syrian regime on its own people and torn apart the entire country. Sened works through the humanitarian work sectors to empower persons with disabilities, their families and communities, advocate for their issues and include their voice in their communities. Sened has become a specialized NGO in the field of working with persons with disabilities and their families since 2015. It takes the aspirations of the founders, persons with disabilities and their families, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) as a compass for its work.

Project Description:

The recent earthquakes in 11 provinces of Turkey have caused major displacement and discomfort in the lives of millions of residents. This has resulted in an emergency response to help meet basic and urgent needs of the affected people. A distribution activity has therefore been set up to deliver emergency aid to those in need and affected by the earthquake within the scope of the project.
Field Assistant will work with the Field officer to ensure distribution activities are implemented with the required quality and on the required time.

Job Purpose:

To implement case management and IPA interventions for the cases of project beneficiaries, supervise updating service mapping and make referrals. 

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties

  • Plan and implement case management and individual protection assistance activities through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up and case closure through regular case committee meetings
  • Work with the team in the organization and externally to identify and register individual cases requiring protection intervention in the field and/or through community center visit,
  • Undertaking rapid and detailed assessments of beneficiaries,
  • Implement IPA intervention plans as per CM/IPA SOP,
  • Work with logistic department for procurement of needed goods/services according to IPA and CM interventions
  • Identify protection cases and case follow up until case closure.
  • Accompanying beneficiaries for referrals etc. if necessary
  • Supporting the service mapping and keeping service map updated
  • Reporting and assisting Project Manager and Protection Coordinator for project reports.
  • Support to record registered cases in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database,
  • Ensuring accurate, timely and secure data entry of all the cases.
  • Planning and implementation of outreach for information dissemination regular and innovative ways
  • Maintain highly organized CM/IPA hard copy files and update the database on a regular basis,
  • Contribute to project strategies and to programme development in protection sector. 

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Bachelor Degree in Education, Psychology, or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.
  • Advanced skills in the English language.
  • Turkish Nationality is must. 

Desirable

  • Intermediate skills in the Arabic language.
  • Intermediate skills in the Turkish language. 
  • Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.
