MI has been registered in Türkiye since 2014 and has since built up its own office structure. MI now has two offices in southeastern Türkiye (Kilis and Gaziantep). The Malteser InternationaI team provides technical guidance and oversees management and administration of the partner-implemented projects in Türkiye and Northern Syria. MI is responsible for the procurement of the main medical supplies in Türkiye, the reporting and application as well as the quality assurance. In addition to the implementation of humanitarian and transitional aid projects, Malteser International´s strategic objective is the strengthening of the civil society structures in Türkiye and Syria. Malteser International focuses in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye on the sectors of health, livelihood, protection as well as social cohesion.

For its operations in NW Syria and Türkiye, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Driver – National Position.  

As you will be part of the Logistics Department, you will be responsible for transporting MI employees and/or project-related goods or products to project sites in Gaziantep and Kilis and any other cities as needed.

Your responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently transport MI staff and project-related goods to project sites in Gaziantep, Kilis, and any other cities as required
• Operate MI vehicles in strict compliance with all applicable traffic laws and regulations
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and roadworthy
• Keep all vehicle documentation and the driver's license valid, up-to-date, and readily available within the vehicle
• Accurately complete MI logbooks for every trip undertaken
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including cleaning, and promptly report any vehicle faults or malfunctions

Your profile:

• Possessing a valid driver's license in Turkiye
• Having graduated from High School is minimum requirement  
• Experience in (I)NGO setting as a driver is highly preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service at all times
• Intermediate English listening / speaking skill is preferred
