Takaful Al Sham (TAS) has been responding to the Syrian crisis since 2012 and to the Refugee Response in Türkiye since 2013. TAS works in Education, Early Recovery, Food Security, Livelihood & Empowerment, WASH, Protection, Shelter, CCCM, and Emergency Response, where TAS has implemented successfully more than 130 projects in Direct partnership with Institutional donors, UN Agencies, and INGOs such as; BHA, SCHF, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, IOM, CARE, GOAL, Save the Children, Global Communities, World Vision, DRC, WHH, Archenova, Chemonics. Seeking to save lives and alleviate human suffering through collaborative, local, and sustainable relief and development assistance, TAS believes that empowerment of women, adolescents, youth, and those who are physically and mentally challenged engage and become proactive in their communities through socio-economic sustainability, development and durable solutions, for a brighter future.

Job Title:Finance Officer

Role Purpose
He/ She will work closely with the Finance Manager - in Finance department- He/ She will support the field managers in establishing financial systems, controls and manage donors, He/ she should be familiar with audits, invoices, reporting and budget preparations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIE:

 

  1. Documenting the financial processes according to the organization policy.
  2. Preparing all the finance documents for each project and keeping these documents usage according to the approved policy.
  3. Revising projects' transactions and making sure that all these documentations are compatible with the policy.
  4. Auditing the financial transaction for all projects
  5. Making sure that all projects' transactions are in accordance with budgets and informing the finance manager for any transcendence.
  6. Preparing the financial reports according to the plan of the project.
  7. Submitting suggestions and notes for improving financial processes or the financial policy.
  8. Updating data on the financial program of the organization.
  9. Archiving the financial transaction for all projects according to organizations' system as far as soft and hard copy are concerned.
  10. Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the finance manager.
  11. Adhering to the organization's code of conduct.
  12. Ensuring that accountability and safeguarding procedures are adhered to and followed, and that any observation is reported.
  13. Preserving the dignity of the beneficiaries and not causing any harm.
  14. Respecting and applying all principles of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse and the child protection policy, and the obligation to report any incident of sexual exploitation or abuse or any breach of the protection policy.
  15. Adhering to all Takaful Al Sham organization policies and abiding by administrative orders and disciplinary procedures in the event of any violations.
  16. A pledge to abide by the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the Takaful Al Sham organization in cases of sexual exploitation and abuse, and immediate reporting in the event of any violation in this regard.
  17. Executing any other tasks assigned to him/her by the line manager within the scope of work

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics.
  2. 2 years minimum work experience in a similar capacity in NGO.
  3. Experience using financial software.
  4. Knowledge of financial regulations.
  5. Integrity, and transparency, with the ability to manage confidential data.
  6. Good spoken and writing English.
  7. Advanced MS Excel skills and financial programs.
  8. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  9. Acute time management skills.
  10. Ability to work with a team.
