Background
Sened is an independent non-profit organization established and registered in Türkiye (under No: 27-15-175) in 2013.
• The name “Sened” in Arabic means “support” you could count on.
• Sened was founded in response to The Syrian catastrophe, which led to critical situations and displacement of internally displaced people (IDPs) within Syria. The individuals who faced hardships due to factors such as repression, human rights abuses, and violence against civilians (including bombings, shelling, and sieges) and the urgent needs of millions of Syrian refugees in Türkiye. Later, our projects expanded to include support for the Turkish hosting community of the Syrian refugees. Our work spans across humanitarian sectors, with a special focus on advocating for the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities (PwDs) and their families.

Job purpose
Contributing to the implementation of Protection & ERL projects in Syria and ensure their execution within time, budget and quality.
Duties, Objectives, Competencies
- Participate as required in project kick-off, close-out and review meetings. Ensure documentation and follow up of action points in a timely manner.
- Follow-up on the implementation of projects and activities in a daily manner. This includes directing activities, avoiding mistakes, and receiving and submitting projects reports.
- Prepare, develop and review the reports to be submitted to donors. These could include daily, weekly, quarterly, progress and final reports.
- Attend meetings related to Protection & ERL when required.
- Ensure – through clear weekly and monthly work plans – protection monitoring, field assessments, community-based activities, especially life-skills, socio-recreational and awareness raising activities, are carried out in a timely, effective and technically sound manner.
- Communicate and coordinate with the field team and center management in Syria and follow up the implementation of activities with them.
- Prepare weekly implementation work plans and follow up the implementation with the field team.
- Follow up the implementation of activities.
- Raising the required PRs and setting the procurement plan.
- Manage the manager of the organization’s center in Syria.
- Prepare, plan and supervise the center’s activities.
- Receive periodic reports from the manager of the center, review and send them to the project manager.
- Follow up on the project agreement conditions.
- Visit Syria periodically to supervise the implementation of activities.
- Be fully responsible for meeting donor targets and compliance requirements through activities, means of undertaking activities, and in all other documentations.
- Ensure, with the finance department, that activities and expenses are regularly monitored and as needed, action plans with follow-up are developed to correct any over- or underspending in a timely manner.
- Manage the project team members. case workers and life skills facilitators team.
- Meet with case workers and life skills facilitators to follow up with them regarding project activities, sessions and/or any project modifications.
- Evaluate the team members’ performance and provide necessary coaching to them

The above-mentioned key tasks and duties are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities may be assigned to the job at the request of the head of department according to the need.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any other similar field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar position.
- Advanced skills in Arabic language.
- Upper-Intermediate skills in English language.
Desired Requirements
- Certified PMD Pro1.
- Intermediate skills in the Turkish language.
- Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.
- Verified experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements and compliance.
- Turkish Nationality is an advantage.
