Accountabilities

  • Completing standard financial documents (vouchers, wire transfer requests, checks, etc.)
  • Providing administrative and documental support to all financial transactions processing; preparing, photocopying, and scanning all related documentation for HQ
  • Filing all accounting and financial reporting documentation as instructed
  • Compiling supporting documentation as per file number (liquidation/receipt package) to support processing of financial transactions
  • Fulfilling the Accountant persona requirements in Insight activities (i.e. cash management, etc.) in the field office
  • Following up on petty cash count, ensuring that the archives are kept in conditions facilitating research and support others to find the supporting documents
  • Provide invoices and supporting documents to the account system & electronic software account system
  • Supporting HQ Finance Officer and executives with projects and tasks when required
  • Managing Inventory list in the field

Requirements

  • At least Bachelor’s degree with the related studies
  • Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience in humanitarian sector
  • Fluency in Turkish, fluency in English is an asset,
  • Ability to use a computer and Microsoft office software, especially maintaining basic formulas and functions
  • Experience/ability to write/review clear reports with very few mistakes
  • Experience in field work with NGOs
  • Experience of cross-cultural work
  • Ability to be flexible, work in a fluid context and adaptation for unexpected situations
  • Flexibility of working of out of office hours
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with others
  • Communication skills: negotiating, facilitating, and presenting as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management, organization, and work prioritization
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Work overtime when required collaborative and cooperative with other related departments
  • Must have a Turkish Citizenship
