Job brief

The Finance Assistant is responsible for assisting the finance functions in the project. He/She will conduct, in addition to other necessary things, reviewing/supporting partners financial reports, following-up the expenses of projects for field offices inside Syria, following-up partners installments and closing payments and contracts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Prepare day-to-day financial payment vouchers for all financial transactions.
  • Ensure that all transactions comply with the Organization and donor policies and procedures, including ensuring with the procurement procedures.
  • Review and assisting the reconciliation sheets, financial reports and supporting documents of the partners’ projects and for the field offices inside Syria.
  • Following-up partners installments and closing payments and controlling the reports.
  • Prepare/assisting the audit files for internal & external auditors and make sure all financial documents are reviewed and available.
  • Follow up asset reconciliations once requested.
  • To perform any other task and jobs as and when required by the line manager/management

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years working experience with INGOs, with a background of successfully performing finance role.
  • A degree qualification in finance.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point).
  • Fluency in both oral and written Arabic and English is essential, Turkish will be advantage.
  • QC employees are expected to work in accordance with the Organization’s core values, aims and objectives. They should be sympathetic to the cultural norms of behavior QC believes in.
