About Yedi Başak 

Yedi Basak is an independent non-profit international non-governmental organization that has no political affiliation and aims to alleviate the suffering of needy people in the world regardless of its category.
Yedi Başak carries out projects aimed to meet the needs of people within the scope of food safety and livelihood, water and sanitation, education, shelter, nutrition, and health programs.
Yedi Başak, by focusing on humanitarian needs in the fields of activity it operates, in disasters, wars and similar emergencies stuatıon domestic and abroad, providing within the possibilities food, clothing, hygiene, fuel, rent, shelter, business establishment, vocational training and to provide in-kind financial aid in the fields of education and health within the framework of the implementation of sustainable development projects.

 

General Objective:

The Director of the Financial Resources Development Department is responsible for leading the recruitment and continuation of funding and providing continuous support and strategic advice to the organization’s programs and development and donor relations, grant management, communication, capacity building and external relations.

He is responsible for the quality of reporting to donors, cooperating with the finance team, ensuring that the organization meets donor requests, and developing and implementing an external communication strategy.

Functıons And Responsıbılıtıes

General Responsibilities:

The responsibility of the Director of the Financial Resources Development Department is to support programs, capacity building and external relations. He must establish and maintain relationships with donors and seek new donors related to the foundation's strategy.

Coordinates with program managers and all institution directors to build capacity and meet donor requests.

Specific Duties

1.Project  development

• Cooperating with the General Manager and leading the process of developing project proposals and concept Notes that suit the organization’s goals and strategy, ensure inputs from other departments, and coordinating internal processes to improve performance with donors.

• Develop writing project descriptions and proposals in cooperation with program supervisors.

• Working with the Program Department, and proposing new development projects.

 

2.Grant Management

• Determine the data of the financing opportunities available according to the strategy of the institution.

• Obtaining grants and following up on payments according to the project grant guide.

• Follow-up to the Financial Resources Development Department and ensure the implementation of its work plan according to the proposal, i.e. follow-up to the program part and not deviate from the plan, and make adjustments in agreement with the donor and the program department if they occur.

• Maintain a detailed record of the grant agreement and allocate grants according to payments and delivery times.

• Ensuring the quality of the data collected and managing the data by the institution to present it to supporters and donors.

• Ensure compliance with Donors and reporting in accordance with agreements

• Preparing and updating the reporting plan with clarification of deadlines.

• Coordinate external reporting requirements on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis.

• Developing grant monitoring tools and holding grant management meetings regularly.

• Maintain important documents, documentation and details about grant operations.

3. Information And Networking Management

• Develop tools to collect the information required for writing internal and external reports.

• Leading the process of developing and implementing the organization's external strategic communications, ensuring communication between effective actors with donors, ministries of supportive governments, local stakeholders and local communities.

• Developing and managing communication and knowledge of budget limits, promoting the effective use of funding and updating budget management tools regularly.

• Help informing the Media Office of any possible news and assisting them in obtaining news headlines for the Foundation's projects according to the supporter’s parameters. And extract periodic media publications to market projects.

4  External Representation

• Representing the Foundation in meetings with donors and supporters.

• Attending coordination meetings related to his work, sending reports.

• Representing the Foundation in all forums related to the duties of this position, such as the United Nations Coordination Office, donors and civil society organizations.

5 Management Of The Team

• The practice of planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating, and using the resources of the institution the best use to achieve the objectives of the institution efficiently and effectively.

• Developing the performance management of his employees. The employees are evaluated regularly and continuously.

• Authorization as appropriate to the work. 

• Conduct weekly team meetings for planning purposes, information sharing, and problem solving.

• Strengthening and building the capabilities of the grant team to develop it creatively and raise the responsibility and spirit of competition to write the project description paper, proposals and appropriate reports for the donor.

• composition of the management team, increasing the number of marketers and opening new branches of marketing.

• Measuring the level of performance of the marketing team to know the extent to which it has achieved the targets to be achieved and make the team always motivated

• Presenting a monthly report on employees explaining their strengths and weaknesses and their role in maintaining strengths and treating weaknesses.

• Determine the training needs of all marketing personnel to raise their technical level and provide them with some specialized publications in their field of work.

• Adherence to the policy and procedures of the Financial Resources Development Department.

• Formation, maintenance, and improvement of the mental image of the institution in the society in general and the targeted supporters/donors  in particular.

• Assist the Media Department in producing marketing tools (publications / magazines / various publications)

• Reviewing Foundation projects and reformulating the required languages to suit donors.

• Supervising the supply of marketers' bags that help them in marketing the Foundation's projects.

• Helping the media department to develop an annual plan for the institution's media products.

• Work on the spread of the name of the institution and the definition of its projects and achievements.

• Conducting promotional campaigns to spread the name of the institution to the Turkish public in: commercial malls - companies and factories - clubs - universities, schools etc .

• Participation in various exhibitions (book fairs - industrial product fairs ........ and others) to market the foundation's projects

• Building bridges of trust with the community/ donors  and getting to know their opinions and reflections on the Foundation's projects.

• Periodic contact with donors with all communication tools (visits - phone - mobile messages - emails)

• Provide donors with periodic written and illustrated reports that explain the positive effects of their donations on the implementation of the projects they have contributed to.

• Conducting a periodic questionnaire through the website and online groups to measure the extent of supporters ’satisfaction with the institution.

• Establishing various strong and effective communication channels that ensure the maintenance of the strong link between the institution, the community, donors and institutions.

• Establishing various strong and effective communication channels to ensure the preservation of the strong link between the foundation, society, donors, and Turkish, Arab and international donor institutions.

• To benefit from the artists and celebrities in marketing the projects of the foundation and to benefit from the relationships of important personalities in the institution such as mayors and others.

• Benefiting from volunteers, motivating them, selecting the distinguished ones, and activating them with a well thought out plan.

• Establishing relationships with European and Arab foreign institutions to market the Foundation's projects.

• Activating electronic marketing and making the best use of the institution’s website and the institution’s Facebook pages, and others

Qualification & Experience & Requirements (essential)

• Foreign or Turkish citizen, Native or fluent Turkish  speaker either with fluent English and arabic  language skills.

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or Marketing

• At least three years' experience in proposal development, logframe, and reporting to the donor (ECHO, DFID, FFP, OFDA, etc.)

• Previous experience in bringing financing to non-profit organizations.

• Experience in leading strategic projects and project planning

• Experience working with international non-governmental organizations and providing programs and managing information and communications to support humanitarian programs.

• Experience of project formulation in English.

• Ability to withstand work pressure, and to prioritize according to changing program needs.

• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.

• A self-motivated person, with multi-tasking skills, prioritises well, works under pressure, and manages time and tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Working knowledge and practices with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
