As Reed Turkey, we are looking for a "General Secretary" with below requirements for our client. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree,
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ of government relations experience,
  • Ability to effectively deliver information, explain, advocate and negotiate positions and issues to a broad spectrum of individuals,
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, with little or no supervision,
  • Ideal candidate must be team-oriented, and have a keen attention to details,
  • Demonstrated track record of strong advocacy and communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Administer and Coordinate the day to day operations and correspondence of Head Office between the member associations and public and governmental offices,
  • In coordination with the accountants, tax advisors and legal counsels, ensure the properly keeping of the records and accounts,
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholder groups,
  • In collaboration with the Chairman and Operations Coordinator, responsible for the successful execution of  policy goals, corporate initiatives, and internal corporate goals,
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts at Ministries and affiliated bureaus; and among other public opinion leaders,
  • Generate visibility of key industry issues and opportunities seeking favorable business conditions and access,
  • Responsible for the development (coordination) of briefing materials to be sent to Members & Regulatory Bodies,
  • Develop and maintain general knowledge of legislation pertinent to the business objectives, government policies, and current events ,
  • Works with Chairman, BOD, senior management, business leaders, and external stakeholders to build robust coalitions,
  • Drafts memos, educational materials, and presentations detailing the impact of public policies on the industry,
  • Monitor and analyze proposed legislation within scope of authority to determine its effects on the industry, help determine the most appropriate position in coordination with other senior staff and develop and implements strategies to achieve favorable results,
  • Help educate internal key stakeholders on legislative matters affecting the Industry,
  • Responsible for assisting in the updates to senior management and key external and internal stakeholders on pending issues and events, including preparation of briefing materials.
