RI invests in four broad program sectors:  Economic Opportunity, Education, Health, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.  We design our programs to incorporate The RI Way:  local participation, integrated programming, the development of civic skills, and complementary partnerships including with local NGOs, governments, and the private sector.  RI supports solutions that reinforce and improve upon existing in-country systems. Where such systems do not exist or are chronically underperforming, RI’s crisis response lays the foundation for long-term, sustainable change. 

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Intern will provide support in executing the full range of HR services (recruitment, compensation, HR administration), ensuring their transparency and integrity and ensure execution of transparent and efficient HR services in the RI Türkiye office. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Employee relations
  • Assist with day-to-day efficient operation of HR office.
  • Maintain employee files and the filing systems in a professional, confidential and auditable manner and according to HR procedures (both in the hard and soft filing)
  • Make sure that the new employee’s files are completed (including contract, TOR, interview notes, conducting background checks, etc.).
  • Uploading and maintaining the HR files on the box.
  • Updating Employment Details and Occupational Safety Tracker

 

         2. Recruitment

  • Assist the HR Manager with recruitment by posting vacancies, documenting the vacancy announcement and scheduling tests and interviews.

 

      3. Additional tasks

  • Support the HR Manager with the translation of HR-related documents.
  • Undertake additional HR-related project work as required.

Safeguarding

  • Uphold and promote RI’s commitment to ensuring the safeguarding and safety of the vulnerable communities we serve.
  • Consistent with RI’s safeguarding and protection policies, ensure your job related activity and practice is compliant with safeguarding standards.

Experience and skills required for the role:

This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to contribute to achieving results in a demanding and fast paced environment.

  • Basic experience in HR and Administration, INGO experience desirable.
  • Good administration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in HR or Business related field (Labour Economic and Industry Relations, sociology)
  • Spoken and written English and Turkish
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide systematic solutions in line with established policies/procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Human Resources Management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet challenging deadlines.
