Human Resources Unit Coordinator Job Description

Experienced in promoting human resources culture within the organization; developing and implementing its procedures. Capable of leading a dynamic team.

  • Taking necessary action to ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Rules are applied in all working areas within the Association,
  • Ensuring the fulfillment of the legal responsibilities of the Association regarding employment,
  • Good command of employment/labour legislation and related processes:
  • Establishing effective and timely communication with the General Coordinatorship and other units concerning the Human Resources processes; supporting the implementation and planning of the projects,
  • Identifying the strategies in the field of Human Resources and talent management within the framework of the vision, objectives and legal requirements of the Association,
  • Organizing the work plans and guiding the job distribution of the employees in the Unit and performing the necessary checks,
  • Guiding/supporting visibility and improvement activities within the framework of Human Resources processes of the Association,
  • Implementing and developing policies and procedures in accordance with the organizational culture and strategies of the Association,
  • Leading all functions of Human Resources Management in line with the vision, goals and legal requirements of the Association and ensuring quality,
  • Integrating and promoting human resources management, and guiding staff,
  • Managing and directing the work of the Unit to which s/he is responsible under the principle of reliability,
  • Managing human resources related processes in line with the projects conducted by the Association
  • Informing, directing and supervising HR unit employees concerning Human Resources objectives and the rules of the projects and donor organizations,
  • Enforcing the rules determined by the procedures of employee discipline, communicating code of conduct within the organization,
  • Good command of evaluation and recruitment processes:
  • Identifying the strategies in the field of Human Resources and talent management within the framework of the vision, objectives and legal requirements of the Association,
  • Taking part in recruitment processes and managing them,
  • Organizing personnel selection and placement within the framework of the Human Resources procedure,
  • Skilled and experienced of leading internal communication, feedback and performance management processes
  • Establishing effective performance management, conducting employee competency, training and development analysis,
  • Ensuring effective functioning of the information flow among the employees, to provide a positive communication environment,
  • Collecting and evaluating suggestions of the employees, taking initiative to implement effective suggestion or taking action against risk identified,

 

General Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Unit Coordinator or similar leading position in non-governmental organizations or institutions of similar nature
  • University graduate from related fields (such as business administration, social studies etc); further training will be a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources processes, labour law and HR best practices
  • Experience in projects implemented trough partnership with international organizations is a plus,
  • Proven experienced in team management,
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Good command of association regulations in Turkey
  • Good computer skills, and good command of office software,
  • People-oriented, open to learning and improvement
  • Good command of English is a must, command of additional language is a plus
  • Candidates who are residing or willing to reside in Ankara
