Under the overall supervision of the Senior Resource Management Officer and the direct supervision of the IT Officer in Ankara, the incumbent will provide basic technical support and services to users in IOM Ankara office and its field offices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Provide onsite end-user support to IOM Staffs.
2.Support in the maintenance of present and upcoming ITC equipment.
3.Assist in setting up conference devices in the meeting room as per request by IOM staffs.
4.Provide recording day-to-day Asset assignment, Transfer, Account creation/deletion activities.
5.Assist in monitoring virus, Trojan and other malicious software activities in servers and end users’ computers.
6.Provide in recording and updating overall Ankara ITC equipment.
7.Assist in recording and updating access cards of IOM Ankara as provided by Security unit.
8.Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
- University degree in Computer Science, Electronic & Telecommunication or related field from an accredited academic institution.
- Experience in provision of direct user support and computer and communication equipment troubleshooting;
- Basic Knowledge in Windows Server software in a multi-site environment, TCP/IP, MS Office, Antivirus Software, Backup Server Softwares, Active Directory services, Email Exchange , Remote Connections Softwares and IT utilities;
- Knowledge of IP, VPN, VOIP and LAN/WAN infrastructure;
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft SQL databases administration will be an advantage;
- Knowledge of .NET framework (ASP, VB), SQL and CMS will be an advantage.
- Microsoft and Cisco network certificates is an advantage;
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Turkish is advantageous.
