Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Livelihoods Assistant - Database.

 About the Job

This role involves providing administrative or information management related technical support within the sector area. Assist the sector officer in ensuring the quality of the planning, implementation and follow up of sector activities.

Sector responsibilities: project information management

This role will ensure compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the country but particularly in Sanliurfa and Kilis field offices. The role contributes to the maintenance of high-quality database and project documentation and development of field-level project implementation strategies with data analysis inputs. The role also provides support and/or technical guidance to field operations while overseeing field activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide technical support to the field program teams collecting data to feed into an accurate and integrated database
  • To provide training to  the field staff on IM data collection tools and documentations under supervision of the Program Manager, MEAL Manager and Technical Coordinator
  • To carry out regular data processing for the Economic Recovery projects data cleaning, quality check, analysis and reporting)
  • To provide monthly and regular updates on reporting tracking systems and submit accordingly
  • To closely work with Economic Recovery IM Officer to define existing challenges and come up with practical solutions
  • To ensure data security and consistency of the program database
  • To prepare monthly quantitative reports in line with indicators
  • To extract beneficiary lists from the database based on request of program teams
  • To ensure activity documents are in place in coordination with Livelihoods teams
  • To ensure there is provision for data security (including strict data handling and confidentiality protocols), weekly backup and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency).
  • To monitor the shared database of field partners within validation process
  • To take on additional task and or responsibilities as need arises.
  • To assist with project field monitoring, if required

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have a university degree in Computer Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Development Studies or any other Information Management related field.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in information management and preferably in economic recovery/livelihood working for an NGO/INGO.
  • Advance Knowledge on MS Excel and MS Access and any other data management software
  • Fluent English speaking and writing is required
  • Fluent Arabic speaking and Writing is required
  • Turkish language is an asset

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Nationals.
