Logistic Assistant

Shafak was officially established in 10-10-2013 (registration no. 27-016-129). It was founded during the early months of the Syrian Crisis in 2011. At its core, Shafak is a grassroots NGO that was formed by Syrians for Syrians, with the intent of addressing the needs of their life with dignity, equality and humanity with a focus on sustainability and autonomy.

Shafak is an impartial, independent, non-profit NGO that exists for the express purpose of providing humanitarian services to vulnerable people regardless of political or religious affiliations and on the long run to contribute to recover and rebuilding the society on freedom, justice and equality basis.

Role Purpose

To support the effective operation of the SHAFAK North Syria Office and related programme activities by providing general logistic support, in accordance with SHAFAK policies and procedures and relevant donor requirements.

Location:

HQ/Gaziantep

  • Assistant will be responsible as asset controller, tagging and inventory of all asset and furniture of Shafak in HQ office in GZT.
  • Will be responsible for updating of asset database and inventory.
  • Will follow with coding of store release and getting approval from relevant staff.
  • Will be responsible for fleet movement inside GZT and coordinate with staff for their daily movement inside GZT.
  • Preparing logistic related payment for the field and office related payment (stationary, running cost).
  •  Receiving of checking of items procured for HQ office for threshold under 20,000 USD.
  • Follow with all trackers and reports related to procurement and logistic activities.
  • Work closely with Logistic coordinators for logistic related activities.
  • Supervise the fleet and ensure proper support to program activities.
  • Supervise the asset and provide proper tracking and follow with the asset.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

  • 1-2 years of experience in Logistic operation
  • Degree in Economy or Business Administration or any other related field desired.
  • Turkish language is essential
  • English language reading - and writing is essential.
  • High computer skills
  • A clear understanding of Logistic ethics and donor compliance is essential
  • Turkish Citizenship.
