Job Title: Marketing and Fundraising Assistant

Location: Turkey-Gaziantep

Reported to: Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator
 

Job purpose:

Will be responsible for providing clear, relevant communications to members and stakeholders using a range of digital platforms and gathering information and data for funding and policy initiatives.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing Co-ordination

  • Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator in maintaining and updating Bonyan’s Marketing and Communication Action Plan, and producing progress reports as needed for partners.

  • Research, brainstorm and generate creative techniques to enhance and improve the special events.

Publications

  • Co-ordinating production of Bonyan newsletter to the donors and other periodic publications.

Media and Social Media

  • Curating Bonyan’s Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn feed, and developing Bonyan’s online presence moving forward. Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator in generating media coverage for Bonyan activities and projects. (5% of the tasks may be inside Syria).

  • Works with the fundraising team on design elements and event promotion.

Website

  • Working with the Management Team to improve and add resources to the website. Authoring content for Bonyan’s website. Posting content authored by other Bonyan teams.

Research

  • Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator and Bonyan colleagues by researching useful policy information that will allow Bonyan to make effective representations to public bodies and influence local public services.

  • Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator by researching useful information on funding and commissioning opportunities that will allow Bonyan to bid for new projects and widen the range of services it provides.

Donor Care

  • Work directly with donors on tasks such as updating or canceling recurring gift information, sending acknowledgment letters, processing donations, and other common requests.

Other

  • Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
     

Academic Qualifications:

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is preferred.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Marketing is preferred.

  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and precise, and maintain accurate filing systems.

  • Strong skills in digital media and MS Office skills.

  • Ability to source and use data and research information for the production of reports.

  • Make effective use of technology and use resources responsibly.

  • Willingness to travel to Syria and work flexible hours; occasional evening and weekend working.
     

Skills:

  • Able to demonstrate professional English written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Self-motivating and able to take initiative.

  • Capable of maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Capable of handling and controlling multiple projects.

  • Respect confidentiality and data protection.

  • Be positive about working in a changing and challenging environment
