Innovation for Development (I4D)
The development sector faces particular hurdles that derive from the complexity of global problems. Difficulties in changing the behavior of beneficiaries, the barriers encountered in scaling, failure to respond to change, and the challenge of properly measuring impact are getting more and more inevitable in the development world. Nevertheless, the development sector needs an innovative mindset and, to the same extent, an innovative programming strategy.
Innovation for Development (I4D) was founded to answer the fundamental question: How can we generate innovative ideas and develop better responses to the world’s toughest problems?

The role:
I4D is recruiting a MEAL Officer to conduct all activities related to the monitoring and evaluation of our project on the digitalization of women-led SMEs. The MEAL Officer will design tools for and conduct activity tracking to quantitatively and qualitatively illustrate the impact of the project for donors, stakeholders as well as to disseminate knowledge of the project model for future interventions.
The MEAL Officer is responsible for:

Facilitate design of “SMART” objectives, logic models, monitoring frameworks, and evaluation plans during work-planning process

Ensure the alignment of M&E activities with program goals as pertain to the digitalization of women-led SMEs

Contribute to the development of systems for continued inclusion and tracking of M&E activities

Maintain existing indicator tracking tools; develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions

Prepare monthly monitoring and evaluation reports

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
