Program Support Intern
Save the Children is seeking for intern applicants for a program support post in Hatay-Antakya. The Program Support Intern will report to Deputy Head of Office (DHoO) whilst providing support to various project and functions and s/he will work closely with the specialists/coordinators in the program department. The Program Support Intern will play a coordination role with the program team in covering gaps, track actions, and in the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and play a more versatile role as per instructions by the DHoO.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Program Support Intern will be responsible for the following:
Support in consolidating program tools and work with program team to establish archiving for all related tools.
Support program team to draft and consolidate presentations for donor/member/partner’s meetings
Assist in program biweekly meeting and follow action points with related team.
Support program in archiving cluster meeting minutes and reporting
Support in raising PRs and following up with procurement/waiver related to the program
Track with program team the partner capacity building tracker and coordinate with partnership coordinator the capacity building provided.
Support in arranging partner meetings related to program and collect meeting minutes and action points
Following on utilization of partner proposal package to assure its consolidated and submitted to award on time.
Support DHoO in day to day tasks to manage the administrative requirements of the program (arrange for partner meetings and track actions)
Maintain safety and confidentially of the documents/system and their contents.
Actively contribute to making the project safe for children and gender sensitive in collaboration with SC’s Gender Focal Point at all times.
Perform other duties as required from the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
Turkish nationality is a requirement for this position
BSc/BA/BEng in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Economy or related field
Familiarity/training/experience in administration of non-profit work
Computer literate (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office) and ability to do internet-based research
Fluent in English (speaking, understanding, reading, and writing)
Strong organizational skills and discretion with confidential information
Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Ability to work independently and proactively
Proven ability to handle challenging work load
Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferably previous working experience (including paid internships) in NGOs, private sector
Arabic/Turkish proficiency is highly desirable.
Previous experience working in humanitarian programmes in education and protection sectors.
Experience in working with children and adolescents, and particularly refugees.
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
