AAR Japan is looking for 2 Project Assistants in Sanliurfa (1) and Gaziantep (1) 

The job holder will have a responsibility for oversight of all field-level activities and distribution of food and non-food items such as hygiene kits for Kahramanmaraş or Adıyaman as part of the Emergency Response Project of AAR Japan. S/He is also responsible for assisting the Project Officer with various administrative, financial, logistical tasks, and organizational tasks as well as field level activities in accordance with AAR’s policies and procedures.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Directly manages: N/A

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the coordination with local actors including NGOs and officials in operation locations for providing relief items to the affected population.
• Coordinate the purchase and distribution of relief items and materials by local actors or directly by AAR Japan
• Conduct field visits for needs assessment and coordination purposes.
• Support operation officer and project assistance to conduct daily project activities
• Report on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to the emergency response coordinator and country representative
• Conduct security and safety clearances for field visits

Requirements

• Bachelor degree with the related studies
• Min 1 year experience in protection programs and activities such as Case Management and Outreach.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Native Fluency in Turkish
• Good knowledge of English is preferable 
• Experience in taking initiative and being proactive
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Being based in Sanliurfa or Gaziantep with frequent travel in the South East Turkey region is preferable 
• Willingness to travel and work in difficult environment
