Takaful Al Sham Charity is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of conflict-affected population.

Takaful Al Sham Charity partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programs, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.

Role Purpose:

The Project officer will be engaged with the project directly to implement activities related to Protection. He/She will contribute to following up on the implementation of the protection project activities in cooperation with the project manager and program coordinator, he will ensure the documentation, and that the implementation is in accordance with the work plan. He/She will provide technical support to the field team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective coordination between team members to implement project activities (collecting requests, distributing project announcements, organizing all project activities, training...).

Provide beneficiaries' data, monitor the data entry process, and keep it updated.

Supervising and controlling the data entry process, and continuous follow-up to update and upload it.

Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all project activities.

Prepare work schedules and plans for field activities after full coordination with the project coordinator and all team members.

Share successful methodologies with team members for project application development.

Submitting reports of visits to the beneficiaries' projects, including the development of reform and development plans for the projects

Ensure the correct application of project activities and this includes planning and preparing purchase requests and services related to the project in a transparent manner.

Submit weekly progress reports on project implementation, and daily report to the Program Coordinator

Providing capacity building to the protection project team

Follow up on the media requirements of the project and contribute to the preparation of the required preparations for media activities in an appropriate manner.

Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the business, project information, personnel information, data of the Takaful Al-Sham Organization

Executing any other tasks assigned to him administratively within his competence.

Respect and apply all principles of protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, and demonstrate a high commitment to reporting any incident of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.

 Qualification and Experience:

Holder of a university degree, preferably in the field of psychology or social science fields

At least two years’ experience in supervising and implementing protection programs

Familiarity with work procedures followed in the protection.

Familiarity with and adherence to humanitarian standards

Proficiency in working on MS Office software packages, especially Word text editor and PowerPoint presentation programs.

The ability to lead teams, direct and coordinate, follow up, initiate, and develop

A very good level of effective presentation and communication skills (orally and in writing).

Very good level of reading, writing and speaking English.

Ability to communicate, negotiate, plan, and organize.

Desirable:

Knowledge of the work area.

Certificate in Project Management PMP or PMD
