About SANAD:

Sanad is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. Sanad was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011.

Sanad has become specialized in working with and supporting people with disabilities since2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with disabilities live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.

We are working on empowering those vulnerable people through providing capacity building and life skills training, psychosocial support, educational and vocational qualifying, provide supporting equipment, supporting their families, building the capacity of people who deal with them and conducting researches that contribute to advocating their cause and reintegrate them in the community. Additionally, we are not working just to integrate them in the community but also to provide them with decent live conditions along with their families.

 

Job Description:

  1. Provide assessment and recommendations for appropriate treatments (mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders).
  2. Provide behavior consultation for children with special needs and their families by designing and implementing measurable behavior interventions.
  3. Supervision and leading the Case/PSS team in daily activities.
  4. Revising and adapting of PSS curriculum for children with disabilities.
  5. Closely follow up on referral guidelines and referral pathway both internal and external, as well as follow up on referrals
  6. Act as a focal point for referrals from the PSS team including coaching and advising Care/PSS work on referral related questions and queries about specific cases
  7. Work closely with the Case Management team to identify potential needs/gaps within the PSS team that can be addressed via training.
  8. Ensure that internal indicators of the monitoring tools are set for the monitoring of the activities, and assessing the impact of the activities on children, adolescents, and caregivers
  9. Conduct PSS induvial /group sessions implemented and provide recommendations and feedback to guide improvement
  10. Providing technical support to the Case/PSS workers on the implementation of Life skills and PSS Sessions.
  11. Support in identifying, designing, and delivering training to case/PSS works
  12. Write regular reports to the line manager.
  13. Update and brief line manager regularly on the progress of work tasks, deliverables, challenges faced and support required
  14. Ensure regular, succinct, and timely communication with the line manager
  15. Ensure good communication with line manager and the  PSS/Case workers 
  16. Promote and ensure project activities are in line with child protection principles.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
  2. Educational background in social work understanding common mental disorders medical ethics psychosocial approaches
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience as clinical psychologist or counselor.
  4. Working experience in NGO’s in social and/or mental health services.
  5. Experience and skills working with people affected by violence.
  6. Able to work at individual care and community support levels.
  7. Good understanding of the target population and goals of the program.
  8. Proficient level both written and spoken of Arabic, English, Turkish is an asset
