1. Organizational Background
ASRA, is a non-governmental and humanitarian aid organisation which mainly aims at meeting basic needs and improving living conditions of the individuals and communities who are affected by humanitarian crisis, conflicts, human rights violations and natural disasters.
ASRA continues its works at nationaland international level within principles of non-discrimination, transparency ,impartiality, and accountability, according to the international standards of humanitarian privacy. ASRA has a role in enhancing living conditions of crisis affected individuals and communities through activities and emergency responsescarried out at national and international level.
ASRA, by carrying out field studies which regularly analyse the conditions of crisis affected people, andpublishing situation reports; directs the attention of relevant organisationsto crisis regions.
ASRA, pursuant to the principles ofnon-discrimination, transparency, impartiality and accountability, adoptsdirect and quick response to the crisis affected individuals and communities,as the main principle.
2. Job Summary
Psychologist Rehab Officer is expected tohelps be responsible from all the physicaltherapy and rehabilitation activities in 3 Physical Therapy Centers.S/he will be mobile among these centres and will be responsible from overall physical therapy and rehabilitation activitiesof the centres. Responsibleof the relevant project staff and the implementation of the aforementioned activitiesincluding programmatic, administrative and logistical support.
3. Responsibilities & Tasks:
Within delegated authority, Clinical Psychiatrist Psychologist Rehab Program Officer will be responsible for of thefollowing tasks:
Directly supervise the Rehab Team including Physiotherapists and Rehab Workers, providing administrative and programmatic support to deliver the rehabilitation and physiotherapy to rehabilitation clients.
Support the Rehab Team on promptly assessing the needs of people with physical disabilities affected by crisis, identifying priority areas,prepare response and rehabilitation plans according to the National Policy,providing credible information and ensure the continuity of essential qualityservices;
Support the Rehab Team on Pprovidingehigh quality medical consultations including taking relevant patientclient history, doing appropriate physical exam and referrals, andfollowing up with the actions taken throughout the counselling period
Supportin establishing database and referring mechanisms system for the rehabilitationclients to receive comprehensive services.
Considerand co-ordinate with other services to undertake a comprehensive assessment and develop individual rehabilitation programmes.
Monitor and evaluate support programmes and ensure meaningful outcomes are recorded and built upon during the support process.
Provide advice and information to Rehab Team, including training on techniques,information about physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Bewilling and able to signpost to services that can help make a difference to thelives of people with physical disabilities and their caregivers. Facilitate such referrals where necessary.
Contributeto the development of the service through training and informal supervision of physiotherapists and rehabilitation workers, and others.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external service providers and to convene and attend multi-disciplinary meetings as required.
Maintain knowledge of local resources and understand where further information can be found in order that service users/caregivers are fully informed as to the choices and options of care and other assistance available to them.
Operate within stated Principles, Policies and Guidelines including Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, the Employment Handbook and other official office practices.
Represent and promote the organization in order that it can continue to work effectively for the benefit of people with physical disabilities.
Adhere to ASRA Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principle.
Ensure the Pprovision of deall services to patients clients free of charge
Oversee the data collection and work closely with the M&E team on monthly analysis of the data and reporting.
Maintain program files and documentation as per program management minimum standards, including maintaining the confidentiality of the client data.
Ensure programming is on trackto meet objectives; reporting daily on important issues that are cross-cutting
Other tasks as necessary.
4.Required Skills/Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree of in psychiatry.
Masters in Clinical Psychology
Graduated from the relevant departments of Psychiatry, Psychology and/orhaving Master’s Degree on Clinical Psychology.
For foreigner applicants, certificateof equivalence is compulsory.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian work, and substantial experience in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, including in emergencies and conflict settings with refugees.
Experience working with NGOs or international organizations preferable
Fluencyin written and spoken Turkish and English; Arabic is an advantage plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to work well as a team & independently
Ability to work within a team structure or inisolation, flexible, and can cope with stressful workload and working with limited resources
5.Additional responsibilities:
In relation to their level of skills and experience the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time that are reasonable.
