1. Organizational Background

ASRA, is a non-governmental and humanitarian aid organisation which mainly aims at meeting basic needs and improving living conditions of the individuals and communities who are affected by humanitarian crisis, conflicts, human rights violations and natural disasters.

ASRA continues its works at national and international level within principles of non-discrimination, transparency, impartiality, and accountability, according to the international standards of humanitarian privacy. ASRA has a role in enhancing living conditions of crisis affected individuals and communities through activities and emergency responses carried out at national and international level.

ASRA, by carrying out field studies which regularly analyse the conditions of crisis affected people, and publishing situation reports; directs the attention of relevant organisations to crisis regions.

ASRA, pursuant to the principles of non-discrimination, transparency, impartiality and accountability, adopts direct and quick response to the crisis affected individuals and communities, as the main principle.

2. Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Support Worker will closely work within Rehabilitation Technical Teams with the supervision of Rehab Officer. The position Rehab Worker will be responsible for the physical-rehabilitation activities which are planned to be conducted in/out center settings.

1. Responsibilities & Tasks:

Data management and Reporting

• Keep the data and files safely of the physical rehabilitation and MHPSS services, including maintenance of clients’ files.
• Assist the Rehabilitation Officer and MEAL Manager in consolidation of the data related to indicators and highlight any irregularities.
• Prepare the narrative reports of related activities daily/weekly and ensure coherence of reports and data. 

Other related tasks

• Maintain open and professional relations with MSYD/ASRA team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and
• Ensure regular and effective communication with Rehab officer, assistants and all other MSYD/ASRA team members, and associated health facility leadership
• Ensure application and compliance of security protocols and policies
• Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within MSYD/ASRA and amongst beneficiaries served by MSYD/ASRA

• REQUIREMENTS (PERSONS SPECIFICATION):

• Turkish National or other nationalities with authorization to work in Turkey
• Health Degree in nursing or related fields of public health is preferred, but not essential
• Must have at least 2 years of experience working with NGOs in humanitarian or development contexts; previous emergency response, conflict/post-conflict experience
• Ideally should have at least one year experience working with rehabilitation programs
• Must be able to write narrative and produce analytical spread sheet reports.
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English and preferably Arabic.
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Office specially MS-Excel and MS-Word
• Must be able to travel to field sites
• Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Must have the ability to work effectively with various personalities and cultures
• The ability to prepare timely, complete and accurate reports
• Ability to work with people with a mental illness and addictions 
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients. 
• Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients.
• Demonstrated ability to implement psychosocial and physical rehabilitation framework and strength-based, recovery-oriented techniques 
• Knowledge of trauma – informed care.
• Knowledge of and ability to implement techniques related to concurrent disorders (mental illness and addiction), including motivation enhancement techniques and harm reduction
• Ability to effectively organize work and prioritize
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
