JOB ADVERTISEMENT – Risk & Compliance Assistant

SCI employ approximately 25,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 100 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and child protection. CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

ROLE PURPOSE: 

Support and provide assistance to the Risk and Compliance team in risk management, investigations and data protection requirements.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Risk and Compliance Specialist

Reportee: None

Budget responsibility: None

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Support administrative functions
  • Assist risk identification and assessment processes
  • Support the design of internal controls and mitigation measures
  • Conduct legal research and translations
  • Assist in fraud investigations
  • Support compliance with data protection legislation and policy
  • Assist in all-staff, partner and supplier awareness trainings
  • Track audit and investigation findings
  • Act as a point of contact on risk management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Educational qualifications in a relevant field, Law is desired
  • Experience in fraud awareness, investigation management and/or data protection
  • High competency in digital literacy; MS Office and digital platforms
  • Attention to detail
  • A strong sense of integrity and objectivity
  • A desire to learn and work in a challenging but rewarding environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure alone and as part of a team
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Turkish; Arabic will be an advantage

Position holder will be based in İstanbul, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
