ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key relationships:
Project Staff, Information Staff, Grants Staff, and other Turkey office staff
General objective of the position:
The Senior Health and Nutrition Officer is responsible for Works with advisory department colleagues to ensure that the team provides effective, efficient and relevant technical inputs, recommendations and support.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Represent SAMS in HC meetings and different TWGs.
- Representing SAMS in the Cholera task-force, COVID-19 task-force, and related pillar groups.
- Lead the cholera case management pillar meetings and all related meetings.
- Representing SAMS in developing and revisiting of HC technical standards/packages.
- Coordinate with the project department for the ongoing capacity building of the medical staff by developing required ToRs, and giving feedback and recommendations.
- Assisting in reviewing all caseload data from medical facilities for quality control, developing SOPs for quality control in facilities
- Design and write all technical health concept papers and proposals in collaboration with the Programs Team.
- Develop and implement SAMS’ quality assurance guidelines, testing methodologies and supporting tools.
- Ensure service recipients and career feedback are collected and used to drive quality improvements for service providers.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with services providers in SAMS facilities including reviewing the quality of services delivered and making recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with projects and other departments to ensure quality of processes and procedures.
- Provide technical supervision and follow-up for SAMS’ COVID-19 isolation hospitals, Cholera treatment facilities Maternity hospitals with increased coordination with other stakeholders
- Supervise the nutrition, RCCE, PHC, and GBV components
- Other tasks as assigned by the Immediate manager.

THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory Qualifications required
•University degree in Medical Science, or any other related field.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health science, Public Health.
Languages
•Fluent written and spoken in Arabic
•Intermediate written and spoken English

CONTRACT CONDITIONS
The salary will be defined regarding the SAMS Turkey Office salary scale on-going.
