General Functions:

 

Under the overall  supervision of the Family Assistance Program (FAP) Project Coordinator and the direct supervision of the HQ IBM IMCT Officer, and the administration supervision of the Head of Sub-Office, the successful candidate will be based in Istanbul and will be accountable and responsible for the day-to-day Information Management and Communication Technology solutions monitoring, training and problem solving for the German Family Reunification (FR) visa application process.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Manage and coordinate on the FAP ICT infrastructure with responsibility for review, testing, support and implementation of system upgrades or patches, IT inventory, retired equipment and documentations, provide the highest level of IMCT support and customer service to IOM FAP Country Offices;
  2. Maintain the technical communications and good relations with local ICT vendors/ISP to ensure the smooth and proper support to the ICT applications and project's needs.
  3. Provide training to IOM FAP staff in the country offices to use of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Reports Generation, use of CISCO Contact-Center and Jabber, maintain IOM’s Data Protection Principles into all FAP ICT solutions, service delivery, and to ensure the timely reporting of non-compliance matters;
  4. Ensure that all IMCT requests are addressed in a timely and accurate manner, while efficiently advising on allocating resources and support where required, assisting the FAP Team in Country Offices, including troubleshooting or on-site support as required;
  5. Work closely with other developers, UX designers, business and system analysts, to support the team on development of new initiatives related to FAP;
  6. Analyze and implement new solutions requirements, by writing efficient code and identify the areas for modification in existing solutions including bug fixing as per the project’s requirements, and effective KPIs for IBM objectives;
  7. Ensure the required performance and stability of network services, applications and databases, LAN, WAN, messaging, internet connectivity, etc., to prevent/minimize the downtime or service interruptions. Ensure daily monitoring and adequate completion of backups and the regular updating of the FAP Management Tools (MS Dynamic 365) with all required information and other relevant applications;
  8. Participate in the analysis of requirements against the existing systems to achieve the best performance of the application management systems, sub-systems, database, integrated software components, installation, regular maintenance, computers, and peripherals in the FAP Country Offices;
  9. Keep track of the platform activities for both project and maintenance, participate to key projects phases (ideation, planning, start, transition to maintenance, and delivery etc.);
  10. Deploy the software tools, workflow, processes and metrics whether on the cloud or on primes, depending to the project’s initiatives, business needs and requirements;
  11. Perform other related duties as may be required.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education:

 

  • Completed University degree, preferably post-graduate degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science from an accredited academic institution or a combination of relevant education and professional experience;
  • Holder of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and FortiGate security and infrastructure are required, Microsoft SharePoint forms & BI are advantageous elements.

 

Experience:

 

  • A minimum 5 years professional experience in networking, Software support & Cluster environments (LAN/WAN) and Tier 2 remote network/desktop support;
  • Experience in the administration of Windows server/Microsoft (2019/O365) applications in a multi-site environment, TCP/IP, Antivirus Software, ICT utilities, Database and web applications administration.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software, backend and front-end development.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases, SQL, SharePoint Forms, MySQL.

 

Languages:

 

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Working knowledge of Turkish is advantageous.
