Dünya Doktorları Derneği (DDD) is a Turkish based humanitarian non-governmental organisation that facilitates access to healthcare for populations affected by armed conflict, violence, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty and exclusion.

Our organization collaborates with partners and key stakeholders to implement projects that facilitate access to primary and secondary-level healthcare services to respond to the medical needs of displaced population.

DDD is the 16th member of the Doctors of the World International Network that is committed to meeting the health needs of vulnerable people globally.

Mission

Since 2015, DDD implements programs in both Turkey and Syria providing refugee and IDP communities with free access to healthcare services. DDD works with a range of humanitarian professionals and technical experts to provide Primary Healthcare (PHC), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)services as well as sexual and reproductive health (SRH).

Since the beginning of the Syria and Iraqi crises, Turkey has become host to over 3 million refugees, migrants and asylum seekers which led to an increasing demand for health services. In this context, DDD’s intervention aims to assist local public health systems in providing and improving access to health and health related services to vulnerable populations among refugees and migrants in Turkey, specifically in Hatay, Izmir and Istanbul. In Syria, DDD runs health facilities in Idlib and Afrin provinces to deliver health-related services to IDPs. 

Hierarchical & Functional links

Based in DDD Coordination Head Office, the Senior Partnership Officer is under the line management of the Grants Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the Grants Manager and the Field Coordinators to manage sub-grants to implementing partners
• Lead the development of partnership agreements and modifications
• Contribute to donor reporting processes
• Carry out partner/stakeholder mapping on regular basis
• Provide support to Field, M&E and Finance coordinators to track sub-grantees’ achievements and expenditures
• Ensure that partner projects are implemented in line with DDD and donor rules and regulations
• Organize the electronic filing system, maintain an up-to-date filing system on all aspects of partnership management
• Preparing minutes of the grant review and other partnership related meetings
• Other related tasks

Function Details

Reporting and proposal development

• Provide support in editing, reviewing, and submitting high quality donor reports
• Contribute to partner reporting processes by supporting the field teams
• Drafting content and language (English, Turkish, etc.) of formal correspondence and reporting with various stakeholders
• Supporting partners proposal writing process, including reviewing and improving partners technical narratives and budgets
• Lead the development of partnership agreements and modifications
• Capacity building and partnership practices
• Advise partners on compliance with DDD and donor requirements
• Support Grants Manager in conducting the due diligence processes of the potential partners

• Support field and technical teams with the development of partner capacity building plans
• Support field and technical teams with the tools and resources needed to effectively manage partnerships

• Carry out partner/stakeholder mapping on regular basis
• Maintain an up-to-date filing system on all aspects of partnership management
• Arrange and document Partnership Kick off Opening and Closing meetings
• Support the Grants Manager in coordinating the grant review and other grant coordination meetings

• Support the Grants Manager in the delivery of capacity building activities directly with staff and partners
• Reporting
• Help implement donor visibility and communications plans, including gathering content from partners–programmatic updates, success stories, photographs
• Provide a mission report and/or handover document at the end of contract
• Other
• Any other related DDD tasks as assigned by supervisor/line manager

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within Dünya Doktorları Derneği and amongst beneficiaries served by Dünya Doktorları Derneği.

NB: considering the purpose and values of the organisation, DDD requests to its employee complete flexibility in term of duties and commitment, as their job description and job title can be adjusted throughout the year according to needs and priorities.

• Expected profile

Knowledge & Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, International Development or any other related field

Experience

• At least 2 years experience in an equivalent position in NGOs, preferably in humanitarian sector

Languages

• Excellent command of written English and Turkish

IT & Equipment

• Good proficiency with Microsoft package

Intellectual & Physical

• Excellent reporting, communication, organization, planning and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with humanitarian programming and reporting mechanisms
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situation
• Ability to work independently
• Respect tight deadlines

Communication & Information flow

• Interpersonal skills and able to communicate with people at all levels
