Main Job Purpose:

To manage, coordinate and lead in the implementation of HA project quality, gender-sensitive, accountable, and impact-focused PSS programme in Hatay province, ensuring integration with all sectors including community participation and consultations in an earthquake programme. The work will technical advisory and capacity building to staff and partners for the immediate emergency stage and the implementation of PSS and PFA measures required to alleviate the plight of the people affected by the earthquake.

Project Overview:

HA’s goal in the Turkey crisis is to provide mental health and psychological support to the February 2023 earthquakes affected children survivors to protect and promote psychosocial well−being and treat and prevent and support children to recover from trauma and associated mental and psychological issues through the following key components: Provision of Psychological First Aid in the form of individual and group counselling/therapy; Provision of Educational Activities in the form of art, rhythm, drama, children's philosophy, fairytales, pantomime, face painting, juggling, arts and crafts, drawing and painting, handicrafts. 

Accountabilities:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing necessary practical and administrative support.
• Coordinating and communicating with the senior protection officer.
• Building functional relationships and maintaining transparency with the project's targeted local communities.
• Monitoring daily activities in the field.
• Ensuring the successful implementation of the project activities.
• Verifying the accuracy of documents submitted with beneficiary lists.
• Collecting data and feedback on project performance and providing the senior protection officer with necessary information when required.
• Submitting regular reports to the senior protection officer including all accomplished tasks.
• Working with the team to solve any project-related problems and difficulties.
• Supervising the activities implementation process and ensuring organized and successful implementation at sites.
• Supervising the registration of project beneficiaries according to the project standards.
• Communicating with the direct supervisor for any updates in the work plan.
• Collaborating with logistics staff, finance staff, and the senior protection officer as required to process procurement requests and payments.
• Reporting any incidents of theft or threats to the direct supervisor on the project.
• Performing all required tasks when needed.

Communication and Coordination

• Develop and maintain appropriate, regular, transparent and supportive communication structures with the field team and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. beneficiaries, community leaders and local) with the objective.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar capacity.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
• Fluency in English &Turkish (spoken and written).
