Position summary:

The position will be based in Rayhanlı/Turkey, with 80% traveling through the relevant location, 20% working at office. Under supervision and reporting to Field project officer, the case management will have the following duties and responsibilities.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Case Management assistant will be responsible to plan and implement individual protection case management activities through identify and register clients requiring case management assessment via case management application, Prepare intervention plans and case summaries for cases following detailed assessment, case planning, contribute to high quality implementation, follow up, and case closure. Conduct protection case management assessments and assist beneficiaries on a daily basis in the field. Ensure follow-up on referral cases and maintain records of outcomes. Ensure impartiality and confidentiality of beneficiaries at all times. Perform any other duties related to the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying and registering cases, assess, documenting, referring to relevant services, and following up on cases involving at-risk children and families (Case Management).
  • Establish individualized case plans, monitor, and support cases until case closure.
  • Ensure a child centered approach and always act in the best interests of the child.
  • Provide information on existing social services and how to access them, through the service map in the area.
  • Report internally to the Field project officer on weekly and monthly achievements.
  • Work as a member of a team ensuring fluid communication of relevant information in order to make sure that cases are supported in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with community mobilization team and MHPSS team to identify and manage child protection cases within the community.
  • Facilitate, collect and report information regarding the overall situation of child protection risks.
  • Collaborating with the MEAL team to ensure that the process of following up on cases adheres to high standards appropriately.
  • Participate in weekly case conferences and weekly referral conferences that organized via Reyhanlı municipality, collaborating with the social and family ministry.
  • Maintain highly organized case management hard copy files, registers, databases and records format based on principle of confidentiality and on a regular basis.
  • Any other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, or another relevant discipline is preferable.
  • Experience working in protection at least 1 years.
  • Good communication skills with good written and spoken Turkish, English, and Arabic.
  • Turkish Citizenship.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ethical sensitivity and ability to empathize with children and their careers.
  • Experience in community mobilization and conducting outreach activities, in addition in case management, or other relevant social services sectors.
  • Understanding of social welfare systems and child protection mechanisms.
  • Ability to write weekly and monthly reports.
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
  • Experience working with vulnerable and at-risk groups
  • Experience in managing field staff
  • Experience of community-based or social work
  • Experience in providing/ facilitating training, meeting
  • Has good working knowledge on using MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Living in Reyhanlı is preferable.
