Main Job Purpose
The Health Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective and timely management of assigned health projects. This includes ensuring that all project activities align with donor requirements, quality standards, and the needs of affected populations. The role entails close coordination with field teams, monitoring progress, and working collaboratively with cross-functional departments to achieve project goals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Project Implementation and Oversight
- Ensure all project activities are implemented in line with project work plans, logical frameworks, budgets, and donor requirements.
- Provide micro-management oversight, regularly liaising with field and Turkey-based teams to monitor implementation, identify challenges, and develop timely solutions.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of accountability mechanisms for engaging affected populations, enabling feedback collection, and coordinating with the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) team for follow-up.
- Data and Reporting Management
- Maintain accurate beneficiary and service provision records for all managed projects, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
- Coordinate with relevant departments (Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and MEAL) to:
- Conduct project kick-off and close-out meetings.
- Guarantee that project activities are implemented smoothly, within timelines, and with quality assurance.
- Ensure the availability of required staffing and logistical resources in alignment with donor specifications.
- Complete and submit MEAL, financial reports, indicator tracking tables, and other required documentation according to schedule.
- Ensure timely, high-quality narrative and financial reporting in compliance with donor and organizational standards.
- Lead project review processes with HQ and donors, as necessary.
- Field Support and Monitoring
- Conduct regular field visits to project sites to support implementation, quality assurance, and ensure adherence to project plans.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Programs on project progress, risks, and key achievements.
- Representation and Advocacy
- Represent the organization in health sector meetings, including interagency coordination forums, health clusters, and working groups, as requested by the Head of Programs.
- Contribute to advocacy and communications efforts by providing accurate project data and information.
- Organizational Learning and Knowledge Management
- Document and share project learnings to support continuous improvement in health programming.
- Contribute to organizational learning by systematically recording project insights and sharing best practices.

Representation & Advocacy in the Humanitarian Sector:
- Ensure coordination with other agencies and governmental bodies, actively participating in interagency coordination forums and contributing to the cluster’s 4W matrix.
- Support external communications by providing accurate project data and information for media and reporting purposes.
Job Requirements
- Medical oriented master degree or university degree.
- Minimum of 5 years' successful project management experience in the humanitarian field, and health sector.
- Demonstrated capacity of managing awards granted by different institutional donors, particularly the UN-OCHA and the WHO.
- Familiarity with the health & nutrition situation across North-West Syria.
- Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other data management systems, as required.
- Fluency in English with Arabic native speaker, Turkish will be an assist.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties as required by the line manager to support organizational and project objectives.

- Days off : 2 Days Off
- Working Hours : 08:45 AM – 5:00 PM
