IDI Seeks a Project Assistant for EU Grant Projects Based in Ankara

Position: Project Assistant for EU Funded Projects

Main Tasks:

• Support the development and submission of grant applications for EU-funded projects, particularly within the Horizon Europe framework.
• Assist in gathering and organizing relevant project documentation and data.
• Collaborate with project teams to contribute to specific parts of grant proposals, including budget sections and technical input.
• Conduct research on funding opportunities and support the preparation of project deliverables.
• Attend project-related meetings and provide administrative support to experts working on grant projects.
• Assist in periodic reporting as required by IDI procedures and EU rules, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
• Monitor projects finances, archive expenditure records, and assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with EU regulations and guidelines.
• Provide support in tracking project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Contribute to the control of timesheets, review invoices submitted by experts and process them for payment.

Qualifications:

• A relevant university degree (political science, economy, business administration, international relations, etc.);
• Proficiency in both Turkish and English, spoken and written;
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Good analytical skills and keen attention to detail;
• Proficient in research, data collection, and documentation;
• A strong interest in Horizon Europe programs and EU grant mechanisms;
• Willingness to learn and contribute to grant applications and project administration;
• Ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities;
• Adaptability and readiness to adjust to evolving tasks and priorities.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a consultancy firm, governmental institution, or research body working on international funding mechanisms;
• Experience in contributing to grant applications or similar administrative processes is an asset;
• Interest and enthusiasm for EU-funded programs, particularly Horizon Europe, is highly valued;
• Familiarity with grant compliance requirements and processes is advantageous.
