14POSITION TITLE: Project Assistant for Türkiye
Duty Location: Hatay Office with frequent visits/travels to project areas/villages of Hatay.
Contract Duration: 4 months with possible extension
Reporting to: Project Officer
PIN is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that works established in 1992 in Czech Republic. Within the 30 years of existence, People in Need has implemented relief and development aid programs in more than 40 countries. PIN has been working in Northwest Syria since 2012, providing emergency relief and early recovery support to conflict-affected communities. Programs focus mainly on Emergency Food Assistance, WASH, and Education, in addition to Early Recovery and Livelihoods activities. PIN’s contribution to the Syria humanitarian response is amongst the largest across Northwest Syria and cross- border response hubs in neighboring countries.
A recent disaster in southwest Turkey displaced residents and caused discomfort in their lives. as part of the response to the earthquake, PIN scaled-up the operations directly in Turkey. To aid those in need and those affected by the earthquake, PIN is implementing, among other, early recovery livelihood & agriculture support.
The Project Assistant for Türkiye based in Hatay with frequent travels to project locations is responsible for execution of administrative support to PIN’s programmatic activities in projects locations focusing on early recovery of rural livelihoods, primarily small-scale farmers, in Hatay province after the earthquake that hit the country in February 2023.
This position reports to the Project Officer and closely cooperates with technical experts working on the project. He/she is frequently communicating with project beneficiaries and daily interacting with Project Officer. He/she supports also other project team members and other relevant support departments according to need (mainly MEAL and logistics).

At minimum bachelor degree in a relevant field (humanitarian/development studies, management for non-profit, business administration, migration studies, social/humanitarian work and similar)
A minimum of one year of progressive experience working in a similar programmatic role for non- governmental organizations preferably in agriculture sector or livelihoods
Fluency in Turkish language (mandatory) and English language (min. B2)
