Job Purpose
For the implementation of the WASH activities in IDPs camps in Idleb and Aleppo governorate

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized engineering assistance for the daily planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities related to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects within the Cross-Border response to the Syria crisis, especially construction of water tanks and emergency latrines as part of the Rapid Response Mechanism, rehabilitation of WASH facilities in schools, water trucking, distribution of hygiene kits and any Shelter & WASH-related activities in NW Syria.
• Following up the day to day WAS activities implementation in line with the project scope, activity plan and time frame of the project as well as WASH standards and guidelines.
•  Work closely with the field team to coordinate, support, and set site plans, Bill of Quantities and technical specifications for all proposed WASH activities in NW Syria. Verify conformance to technical quality, based on both SPHERE, WASH cluster guidelines.
•  Create and design WASH technical tools, surveys, and BoQs and train the field team on using them.
•  Work closely with the project Manager to support the technical issues of the project activities.
•  Submit weekly progress reports to the programs Management
• Assist in all the technical aspects of the WASH projects in compliance with Violet's policies and procedures and adhered to in a timely and efficient manner and within the budget.
• Assist in developing weekly monitoring plans and share them with M&E.
•  Work closely with the M&E unit in the PDM process and support in developing M&E technical assessments and tools.
• Represent the Organization in the Coordination bodies and WASH cluster and report WASH activities to the WASH cluster on a monthly bases
•  Work towards the continual improvement of the processes and the technical implementation.
•  Ensure integration of beneficiary participation and accountability.
•  Ensure reporting of activities for internal and external reports.
•  Assess existing project(s) activities and recommend actions to be taken.
•  Input into the development of the WASH department strategy and WASH projects, new projects and donor proposals.
•  Analyzing former infrastructure and WASH projects and budgets in order to improve project and budget quality and procedures.
•  Develop the drawings of WASH infrastructures and Review the field reports.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

Essential:

•  Civil engineering certificate or certificate in relevant fields

Desirable:

•  More than 3 years of experience in Humanitarian sector
