WYG Türkiye is looking for a Project Assistant / Translator to be in the project office in Kütahya.

 The following qualifications are sought for the applicants/candidates of the position:

  • University degree from a reputable university,
  • Good knowledge of MS Office,
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Turkish (written and spoken),
  • Turkish-English / English-Turkish translation capabilities,
  • Having high level of communication skills both verbal and written,
  • Being flexible in working hours and have no travel restrictions,
  • No military obligation for male candidates,
  • Residency in Kütahya, at least 2 years of experience in EU and World Bank funded projects will be a strong asset,
  • Previous experience as a project assistant will be a strong asset.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assisting in organization and preparation of meetingsvwith input from key Project staff,
  • Accurate translation of the project documents, regulations, training materials, information materials and other written materials from English to Turkish and vice versa.
  • Being responsible for Simultaneous/Consecutive/Whisper Interpretation during the meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars,
  • Preparing of meeting minutes,
  • Supporting to the Project technical and financial reports in line with quality assurance,
  • Formatting of reports (outputs, meeting minutes, progress reports etc.),
  • Organizing and assistance in travel and accommodation arrangements of the team,
  • Project filing and archiving,
  • Collecting documentation from experts on a regular basis, i.e., setting up a system so the experts know what and when to submit documents to be filed and where to find them again,
  • Technical and administrative support in connection with the international and local experts working for the Project (e.g., IT support, accommodation support organization of transportation, typing to a certain extent, etc.),
  • Administration of all general Project correspondence,
  • Tracking, scheduling, quality control and administration of official Project reporting (inception, progress, final and other relevant reports),
  • Responsible for implementation of daily routine activities.
