Ad Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Project Manager will report to Shafak Health & Nutrition Program manager; he will be based in Gaziantep. S/he will work with Shafak Health & Nutrition teams in Turkey and Syria to ensure a timely, effective, and high-quality process and filing of administrative documents, as well as follow up with Shafak’s support departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

He/she will be responsible for the following: 

  • Coordinate with the Health & Nutrition program manager in HQ for projects’ matters and represent the Turkey office in all assigned meetings upon request.
  • Follow up on the financial and administrative matters for the proposed project, which involves tracking all Purchase Requests submitted to the related supporting departments (Finance and Logistics)
  • Obtain statistical information, and arrange and organize it in specific forms.
  • Follow up on the implementation of the proposed project in accordance with the plans set by the line manager.
  • Daily follow-up of project activities with field staff
  • Develop Health & Nutrition activity work plans based on the program’s annual work plan and implement activities in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the implementation of Health & Nutrition activities is well coordinated with activities
  • Coordinate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to review Health & Nutrition reporting indicators and reporting tools
  • In consultation with technical leads, contribute to the development of Health & Nutrition project proposals and project budgets

The amount allocated is based on Shafak Salary Scale. It is a gross salary (costs include: salary and associated taxes, social security/SGK, work permit fees, severance pay, and fringe benefits).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience in the Health & Nutrition sector at least two years.
  • Ability to facilitate and serve as a program employee’s liaison.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good in dealing with computers especially Microsoft office
  • Project Management Skills
  • Relevant University degree
