General Description of the Programme:
Sened, is an independent non-profit organization established and registered in Türkiye (under No: 27-15-175) in 2013.
•The name “Sened” in Arabic means “support” you could count on.
•Sened, was founded in response to The Syrian catastrophe, which led to critical situations and displacement of internally displaced people (IDPs) within Syria. The individuals who faced hardships due to factors such as repression, human rights abuses, and violence against civilians (including bombings, shelling, and sieges) and the urgent needs of millions of Syrian refugees in Türkiye. Later, our projects expanded to include support for the Turkish hosting community of the Syrian refugees. Our work spans across humanitarian sectors, with a special focus on advocating for the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities (PwDs) and their families.
Job purpose:
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities of SENED ORGANIZATION. They will ensure that programs and projects are effectively monitored, evaluated, and documented and that lessons learned are incorporated into future programming.
Duties:
Monitoring:
· Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring frameworks and plans for projects and programs.
· Design and deploy monitoring tools and methodologies to track project progress and outcomes.
· Regularly collect, manage, and analyse monitoring data to assess project performance.
· Identify trends, patterns, and potential issues through ongoing monitoring activities.
Evaluation:
· Plan and conduct evaluations of projects and programs using rigorous and appropriate methodologies.
· Coordinate evaluation processes, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
· Synthesize evaluation findings into actionable recommendations for program improvement.
· Ensure evaluations adhere to organizational and donor requirements and standards.
Accountability:
· Establish feedback mechanisms to capture input from beneficiaries and stakeholders.
· Monitor and respond to complaints and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
· Ensure transparency and accountability in program implementation and decision-making.
· Develop and maintain grievance redress mechanisms for addressing complaints.
Learning:
· Facilitate learning sessions and workshops to capture and disseminate best practices and lessons learned.
· Document success stories, case studies, and innovations for internal and external sharing.
· Incorporate learning into program design and implementation to improve effectiveness.
· Stay updated on emerging trends and methodologies in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Additional Responsibilities:
The above-mentioned key tasks and duties are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities may be assigned to the job at the request of the head of department according to the need.

· Conduct periodic evaluations to assess the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of interventions.

· Enhanced Accountability Mechanisms:
· Develop and strengthen feedback and grievance mechanisms to ensure the voices of beneficiaries and stakeholders are heard and addressed.
· Ensure compliance with accountability standards and requirements.
· Promotion of Learning Culture:
· Facilitate learning sessions and knowledge-sharing events to promote organizational learning.
· Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices.
· Support staff capacity building in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Essential Requirements:
· Arabic Language advanced level or native speaker.
· English Language Intermediate level.
· Educational Qualifications University degree or higher
· Professional Experience related to MEAL and Data management.
