Relief International is one of the leading providers of healthcare services in Syria delivering healthcare to over 1 million people annually. Through a network of hospitals, healthcare centres and mobile medical units, Relief International delivers healthcare services to communities in some of the most isolated areas of the country. These services take many forms and integration with protection, starting with lifesaving care at our hospitals and clinics and woman and safe spaces. RI has a solid Syria program with over 400 direct staff and approximately 1500 indirect staff working across three main thematic sectors of intervention in Health& Nutrition, Protection and Livelihood
Middle East Region
RI operates in six countries in the Middle East region: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Türkiye and Yemen, with a focus on the four RI sector pillars: Health, WASH, Education and Economic Opportunity. We employ more than 4,000 staff (direct and indirect) in the Middle East region and implement a range of humanitarian and development programs valued at approximately $70 million USD on an annual basis.
Under the direct supervision of the NWS Hub Director, and technical reporting to the WOS Finance Manager, the primary responsibility of the NWS Finance Manager is to maintain and adhere to RI financial policies and procedures including the donor regulations and guidelines to ensure that the Finance department functions in an efficient and well-organized manner. NWS FM will ensure the preparation of accurate and timely monthly (donor and internal) reports and supervision of day-to-day financial operations.
Support to WOS Finance Manager in technical oversight at hub level and in general for Syria finance matters. NWS FM is the focal point for compliance with the Turkish accountancy, tax, and SGK legislation and the regulations for the foreign Associations in Türkiye. The role will also provide essential support and backstopping to HR, Logistics, and Program departments, as well as knowledge-sharing and capacity-building of other team members. Supervise the finance team in Gaziantep and inside Syria.
