Ad Description
Job Purpose

To ensure the development and timely implementation of the Ihsan communications strategies, utilizing various communication tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
    1. Implement the partnership strategy, including policies and procedures to increase engagement with existing partners and identify new partnership opportunities.
    2. Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective partners and donors, including submitting letters of inquiry, meeting with program officers, and attending funder events.
    3. Track and cultivate partnership opportunities with international, government agencies, and community organizations to support the organization’s mission and programs.
    4. Research and identify potential partners that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
    5. Collaborate with program staff to develop partnership proposals and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.
    6. Ensure that partner and donor communications and proposals are submitted on time and in compliance with funder requirements.
    7. Develop and manage partnerships budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
    8. Monitor and evaluate partnership activities to measure their impact and identify areas for improvement.
    9. Prepare reports and presentations on partnership activities and progress towards partnership goals.
    10. Provide support for fundraising efforts, including grant writing and donor stewardship.
    11. Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events to build relationships and promote the organization’s mission.
    12. Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in partnership development and donor stewardship to ensure the organization is competitive in securing funding.
    13. Respect and apply all the PSEA principles, and show high commitment to report any SEA action.
    14. Respect and apply safeguarding principles.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
  • Essential:
    1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, nonprofit management, or related discipline.
    2. Two or three of professional experience in partnership development, marketing, or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
    3. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including corporate partners, government agencies, and community leaders.
    4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effectively communicating the organization’s mission and goals to diverse audiences.
    5. Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices, including grant writing and donor stewardship.
    6. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to identify new partnership opportunities and approaches.
    7. Experience with data management and analysis, including using data to inform partnership strategy and measure impact.
    8. Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organization.
    9. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable:
    1. Advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related discipline.
    2. Five years of professional experience in partnership development, marketing, or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

About the Company

Ihsan Relief and Development is a service-oriented organization established and registered officially in Turkey since April 2014 and has two offices in Turkey and four offices inside Syria. Ihsan seeks to support basic development and service projects that address the needs of daily life while looking to have long-lasting impacts. Ihsan looks to support Syrians inside Syria and outside of Syria and does so by coordinating with local councils. Ihsan is working to recruit necessary grants funding provided by the international community organizations for the development projects inside Syria. Its mission is to provide Syrians with critical services to alleviate suffering, foster economic and social development, support a vibrant civil society, and build the capacity of local administrative councils. Its vision is to become the most efficient, transparent, and responsive Syrian humanitarian organization, improving the lives of Syrians through relief, recovery, and development.
