We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Description:

As a Social Worker at UGDD, you will play a key role in providing direct services and support to migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable individuals. You will be responsible for implementation of MHPSS activities.conducting assessments, offering counseling, advocating for clients, and connecting them to necessary resources. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those facing challenges related to migration, displacement, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments for clients, including individuals and families affected by migration.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients dealing with trauma, stress, and other emotional or social challenges.
• Help clients navigate the legal, medical, housing, and educational systems.
• Develop and implement individualized case plans, monitoring progress and adjusting services as needed.
• Collaborate with other organizations, government agencies, and community groups to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Organize and facilitate community outreach programs, workshops, and support groups.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
• Advocate for the rights and well-being of marginalized individuals and communities.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and organizational activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field (required).
• Proven experience in social work, ideally with migrants, refugees, or other vulnerable populations.
• Strong understanding of migration-related issues, including integration, legal rights, and access to services.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
• Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to social justice.
