Mission
UNFPA aims to ensure every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. The 2022-2025 strategic plan focuses on three transformative goals: ending preventable maternal deaths, addressing unmet family planning needs, and eliminating gender-based violence and harmful practices. These efforts align with advancing ICPD and SDG commitments by 2030. In a time of threatened human rights, UNFPA seeks ethical and principled staff to uphold and defend these values with conviction.
Context
UNFPA is seeking candidates who transform, inspire, and deliver high-impact, sustained results. We value staff who are transparent, exceptional in resource management, and committed to delivering excellence in programme outcomes.
The Local Equality Expert will support the design, planning, and management of UNFPA’s programmes, including humanitarian operations, in assigned provinces. This involves managing data inputs, providing logistical support, monitoring project implementation, and following up on recommendations, all in line with approved work plans and UNFPA programme procedures.
The expert will play a key role in facilitating the implementation of UNFPA’s programmes, particularly the Women Friendly Cities (WFC) Phase 3 Programme, supporting all stages of programme execution in the provinces where it operates.
The incumbent will utilize established systems and procedures to compile, synthesize, and analyze relevant information, develop mechanisms and systems, and ensure compliance with programme procedures. Additionally, they will assist in knowledge creation and provide support to other UNFPA programmes and coordination activities at the provincial level, including humanitarian operations, as needed.

Firma Hakkında
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. Volunteerism is a powerful means of engaging people in tackling development challenges, and it can transform the pace and nature of development. Volunteerism benefits both society at large and the individual volunteer by strengthening trust, solidarity and reciprocity among citizens, and by purposefully creating opportunities for participation. UNV contributes to peace and development by advocating for recognition of volunteers, working with partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing an increasing number and diversity of volunteers, including experienced UNV volunteers, throughout the world. UNV embraces volunteerism as universal and inclusive, and recognizes volunteerism in its diversity, as well as the values that sustain it: free will, commitment, engagement and solidarity.
