**BINAA is looking for a Nutrition Consultant based in Gaziantep/Turkey. **


### Job Purpose 

•    To conduct a comprehensive review of the available guidance materials in the nutrition sector for NWS, analyze them, and discuss with partners and sector coordinators with the aim of improving and developing them in line with changes in the Syrian context.
•    Lead the development of MIYCF guidelines through organizing sessions and developing a roadmap. This includes preparing the necessary models and questionnaires for data collection and guideline development.
•    Review and develop MIYCF guidelines by collecting data, conducting FGDs with key stakeholders, including the Nutrition Cluster.
•    Analyzing the information to create the initial version of the guidelines. This version will be shared with the Nutrition Cluster and the TWG for discussion and development.
•    Coordinate the formation of a review committee to improve the guidelines in collaboration with the Nutrition Cluster and UNICEF.
•    Organize workshops for development and review in coordination with the Nutrition Cluster and relevant partners to ensure the approval of the final version of the guidelines, translating, and formally publishing them.

### KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Organize 20 FGDs with local communities and various stakeholders, including data collection and analysis in accordance with approved analysis plans, documenting the results, and providing a detailed explanation of the steps followed and clear interpretation for stakeholders.
•    Prepare and execute two surveys in coordination with the Nutrition Cluster and relevant partners, targeting local groups in the communities to collect data and information necessary for the development of the MIYCF guidelines.
•    Hold four coordination meetings with the Nutrition Cluster and relevant technical groups to review the results from the surveys and FGDs. Document the outcomes systematically to ensure follow-up on developments and outputs.
•    Manage and conduct a two-day workshop with all partners in the Nutrition Sector to discuss results and recommendations related to the development of the guidelines and reports derived from field activities.
•    Prepare the Nutrition Sector guidelines document comprehensively, including translating it in coordination with the Nutrition Cluster coordinators to ensure unified understanding and application at all levels.
•    Review the final guidelines for any linguistic or grammatical errors, ensuring that all supporting materials such as brochures and informational publications are updated and ready for dissemination.
•    Provide practical field support for conducting studies and data collection through field visits and coordination with local partners and field teams to ensure accurate and efficient data collection and analysis.
•    Ensure the thorough and accurate documentation of all research and discussion stages, including recommendations and field results, storing the documents and outputs in an organized manner for easy access when needed.
•    Organize and arrange meetings and workshops, including coordination with all relevant parties, ensuring full logistical preparation for various activities.
•    Act as the primary contact point between the field teams and the management, supporting the documentation and dissemination of external communication materials.
•    Provide regular reports on the progress of the mentioned activities, including the results of FGDs, surveys, and workshops, with recommendations to the management and the Nutrition Cluster on the next steps.
•    Managing Event Logistics; Coordinate all logistical aspects related to events such as workshops and field meetings, including preparing materials, setting up venues, and organizing translation when necessary.
Note: The responsibilities mentioned above are the primary responsibilities. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the future based on the organizational structure and department.


####  Qualifications(Education/Languages/Work Experience)

•    University degree in medicine, pharmacy, or nutrition.
•    Advanced level of English language.
•    Advanced level of Arabic language.
•    Minimum 5 years of practical experience in humanitarian work.
•    Previous experience in managing local teams and coordinating activities.
•    Minimum 3 years of practical experience in the nutrition sector.
•    Previous experience in conducting FGDs and data analysis related to health or nutrition.
•    Previous experience in designing and implementing research projects and producing evidence in the field of health or nutrition.
•    Previous experience in organizing and conducting field surveys and collecting data related to public health or nutrition.
•    Previous experience in coordinating meetings with Nutrition Clusters and technical groups and analyzing the results of these meetings.
•    Previous experience in organizing workshops, especially related to nutrition and public health, in collaboration with local and international partners.
•    Previous experience in preparing and documenting health or nutrition guidelines, including translation and linguistic review of documents to ensure accuracy and clarity.


####A.     Preference:
•    Preference is given to those with a Master's or Ph.D. in public health, nutrition, or a related field. 
•    Active participation in attending Nutrition Cluster meetings for at least one year.
•    Previous experience in preparing guidelines in coordination with humanitarian organizations.
•    Experience and knowledge in community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM).
