Outreach Worker - Türkiye / Adıyaman

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: SARD provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and community-galvanizing humanitarian assistance to populations affected by the Syrian conflict, supporting more than 130,000 people annually. Our 100+ team members implement first-line emergency assistance, resilience, and early recovery support in the sectors of Food Security, Non-Food Items, Shelter, WASH, Protection, and Livelihood.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular field visits to reach potential beneficiaries and share information about project services.
• Identify and register individuals and households based on project criteria, ensuring they receive assistance.
• Provide awareness sessions on protection, humanitarian aid, and livelihoods based on community needs.
• Collect field data through surveys and interviews with beneficiaries and affected communities.
• Follow up with beneficiaries to ensure they receive necessary support and report any challenges.
• Support the implementation of field activities, including cash and in-kind distributions, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
• Build strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders to ensure effective outreach and participation.
• Coordinate with the field team to ensure activities are implemented according to project timelines and humanitarian standards.
• Ensure compliance with protection principles, confidentiality, and a "do no harm" approach in all activities.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Community Work, or similar).
• Previous experience in fieldwork with humanitarian organizations, preferably in Turkey.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage sensitively and professionally with local communities.
• Ability to work in challenging environments and respond quickly to beneficiaries' needs.
• Experience in data collection and documentation of field activities.
• Good knowledge of the local context in Adıyaman and an understanding of the challenges facing affected communities.
• Fluency in Turkish is required; English proficiency is an advantage.
