ROLE PURPOSE:

The Project Assistant supports the FSL department both operationally and strategically from field. He/She will support the project manager with management and deployment FSL personnel, facilitating inter-departmental coordination, supporting program implementation and compiling reports. The position reports to the FSL Project  Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with FSL programme team to oversee preparation for, and implementation of, distribution process (cash or vouchers).
  • Collaborate with M&E team to ensure monitoring activities are in place and relevant to measure the impact of FSL projects and the quality of activities.
  • Follow up on documentation and forms required for payment.
  • Monitor quality of documentation including beneficiary lists, receipts, monitoring templates, etc.
  • Validating received vouchers and preparing timely payment of vendors and in the cash and voucher activities.
  • Preparing voucher distribution schedules.
  • Coordinating the input from Project Manager for budgets and spending plans reviews.
  • Responsible for disbursement of cash and ensure such payments are appropriately approved and documented.
  • Complete deliverables to specification and within timeline.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports to the FSL project manage as required.
  • Collect necessary documentation for project completion.
  • Submit and follow up on requests for support from operations teams, including procurement & supply chain logistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and levels of work assigned and are not necessarily all- inclusive
  • Any other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisor/line manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • University degree in agriculture, Food systems, Nutrition, or administrative sciences or any other related field.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving.
  • Turkish citizenship is must.
  • Residence in Hatay.
  • Good knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Good in Arabic,Turkish and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
