Summary of position:

IHH is looking for colleagues to take part in the overall planning, coordination and implementation of shelter rehabilitation projects in earthquake affected areas. This position will both manage field operations and focus on ensuring technical details, compliance with standards and quality control of the projects. He/she will work in close co-operation with all stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and to the set standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct damage and needs assessments, support the field team.

- Coordinate field operations and provide overall management of shelter rehabilitation projects.

- Ensure smooth progress of works by maintaining regular communication with contractors and beneficiaries.

- Supervising material procurement and quality control processes, ensuring compliance with technical standards.

- To ensure budget control and cost optimisation of rehabilitation works.

- Ensuring the progress of the project in accordance with the work schedule, updating project programmes.

- Collaborating with project stakeholders and public authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

- Ensure regular communication and cooperation with donor and partner organisations within the scope of the project.

- Prepare and submit regular progress/technical reports to the programme coordinator.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.

- Experience in project management, site supervision and quality control.

- Strong organisational, planning, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Fluent in both Turkish and English

- Team-orientated, strong communication skills and solution orientated.
